Constitution
 

The name of the organization shall be the Asia-Pacific Tourism Organization (APTO). APTO is a non-profit international tourism organization in the Asia-Pacific region. Its secretariat was located in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Based in the Asia-Pacific region, APTO dedicates itself to protecting membership benefits, enhancing coordination, cooperation and communication among members and region, developing target market, promoting business prosperity and advancing global tourism industry development with an aim of union and service. In addition, APTO abides by the local laws and regulations, respects the morals and customs of the host countries.

Section 1: Range of activities

  1. To hold an annual meeting and seminar.
  2. To set offices around the world, providing help and service for business development of each membership.
  3. To provide the information and trend about the region and global tourism and the management, operation, skill training and consultancy for members.
  4. To choose the best tour route, sightseeing spot, hotel, airline, and any other annual awards such as the personage in tourism industry.
  5. To establish research and training centre and provide advanced managerial experiences and techniques for members.
  6. To hold an Asia-Pacific international tourism conventions, exhibitions by turns to propagate and introduce to the public in each member¨s locality.

Section 2: Membership categories
APTO has four categories of membership: Initial Membership, Foundation membership, Honorary Membership and Life Membership. Membership is open to individuals, corporations and organizations that are in recognition of special achievements or unique contributions to the tourism industry and acknowledge the principle of APTO Chapter.

Section 3: Registered procedures
A. Prospective applicants who have accepted APTO's Principle shall submit their applications to the secretariat.
B. The applicants' qualifications will be approved by Secretariat or passed through discussion by Presidium.
C. The membership will be valid after confirmation. At the same time, the Presidium will authorize Secretariat to issue the registered announcement of Asia-pacific Tourism Organization.
Section 4: Obligations and privileges of membership

Membership Privileges
A. To have the right to speak, to suggest and to vote at the APTO General Meetings of Members;
B. To have priority of providing sponsorship at or to host various events of APTO.
C. To enjoy special discounts for all facilities available at APTO or social industries among organization.
D. To obtain information provided by APTO and to use the Information Database affiliated to the APTO website with different authorizations;
E. To have priority of participating the annual conference or any other APTO discuss and elect activities.
F. To have priority of requiring APTO to defends the member's legal rights and interests.
G. To commission APTO to hold specific seminars or workshops on issues of its concern.
H. To have priority of entrust APTO to recommends or training talents.
I. To have other privileges of APTO

Membership Obligations
A. To abide by the chapter and pertinent regulations and execute the decisions of the presidium.
B. To attend General Meetings of Members and other events or activities organized by APTO and finish the work assigned by APTO.
C. To safeguard the image of APTO and to provide true and reliable information.
D. To pay membership fee within a specified time.
E. Such other obligations formulated by APTO.

Section 5:Quit and Disqualify
